Meet the Doctors & Staff - Dr. James Sanford
Dr. Sanford is well versed in many aspects of general dentistry after having 3 of his own offices over the last 30 years. Dr. Sanford also works in a small biotech company here in San Diego. He swims almost every day and keeps quite active with other activities as well. He loves preventive and tooth conserving dentistry, so his philosophy for restorative dentistry fits perfectly with Dr. Rens' practice and the latest techniques offered to our patients.
Native to Champaign, Illinois, Dr. Sanford
graduated from De Pauw University in Greencastle, Indiana with an economics degree.
- Obtained his
DDS from University of Illinois in Chicago in 1975 (LUZ B Bondoc award for highest combined score on Parts I & II of National Boards of all 3 dental schools in Chicago,1975)
- 2 years Navy Dental Corps, which brought him to San Diego - Stationed at MCRD
- Served San Diego county since 1980
